There is never a problem with Dr Uparkar. She is always helpful, informative and attentive. The explanations of what can be very complicated always make sense and indicate very good knowledge in her field. She is loved by the children on the ward as she always shows a fun approach to her work. I have nothing negative to add. Dr Uparkar helps the family through a very tough time without adding more stress or negativity to the situation.

When I have spoken to Dr Uparkar during ward rounds and for advice I have found her to be very informative and excellent at explaining medical information in a way that I can easily understand. You can clearly see that Dr Uparkar is passionate about wanting the best for all her patients. She has a drive and determination for all her patients that is clearly visible every time you meet her. Dr Uparkar has a lovely bedside manner. She is very warm and engaging with the children during ward rounds which helps to put them at ease during treatments in hospital.

Dr Uparkar is an amazing doctor. She is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about oncology. You can tell it is more than a job to her. She has a passion for her work. She is wonderful with the children. She is always cheerful when dealing with the children and communicates well with them. She is very good at walking the parents through the treatment plan etc. as she explains the medical details in laymans terms so you can understand fully. She also provides incite into how different things will affect your child not just in terms of medically\physically but how it may affect them emotionally etc. These incites are valuable and she is only able to provide this as she obviously has seen a lot of children go through this treatment process. She is also happy to answer any questions you have. When Dr Uparkar comes onto the ward for her round you can hear her cheeriness. This is uplifting. You can hear the nurses on the ward interacting with Dr Uparkar and you can tell she has a great working relationship with them. I am really happy that we have Dr Uparkar as my daughters consultant. I have every confidence in her which is what you need when your child has a cancer diagnosis. (I have completed this questionnaire on behalf of my 8 year old daughter.)

An amazing and talented doctor who was able to give us all the info required. I like the fact that she has international experience and was very well versed with some of the US standards relating to VOD

Dr Uparkar is friendly, helpful and went over and above the call of duty in providing care for my child. We could see she genuinely cares for the well being of her patients and ensured we were kept up to date as to his progress and blood levels. We couldn’t ask for a better doctor to take care of our child. Thank you.
